"I wanted the vocal on this track to sound like someone speaking very close by, almost whispering into the listener's ear, like a confidential conversation with a close trusted friend. I fiddled around with the EQ for days until I got the sound I wanted. Recording the Barefoot With Angels album was very much like that throughout the sessions, every track was a learning curve as I was for the first time recording the whole thing on my own in my home studio which I had only recently got the hang of. I have fond memories of doing this album, it felt like I used to as a teenager when my parents bought me a new tape recorder that multi-tracked, I played around on that machine for hours every day till it finally gave up the ghost and refused to work any longer! But it was what sparked off my love of recording, the whole process, which I still have."
